2021 Online Auction PHFTC
PHFTC had our 2nd Annual Online Auction in November! We had some awesome items donated and they brought in a total of $ There were a few items not bid on so we might have some pop up sales on our Facebook and Instagram! Be watchful! We are so grateful to everyone who participated either by donating an item or purchasing something! With inflation the way it is, donations are slower for our partner foundations and supplies are costing us triple the amount!
News from Romania
Vice Chair Kristen, her two children, and myself (Ramona) all travelled to Romania last month for a whirlwind trip! Our goal was to purchase musical instruments for Ukrainian refugee children for the Sinca Foundation. We accomplished that plus had enough money to purchase more instruments for another program for the Roma children. We also visited two Afterschool programs delivering gifts, doing crafts with the children, and taking photographs of them for home. Kristen's children were able to see first hand how the Roma children live and participate during the programs!
One of our main goals was to give an evening of refreshment to our partner NGO directors. These men and women have worked tirelessly for years on their projects that PHFTC assists with supplies. During Covid, they experienced great difficulty in continuing their ministries and now with the Ukrainian Crisis, it has become even more tough. PHFTC gave these wonderful friends a night of wonderful food, goodies, and fellowship! We graced them with a devotional to encourage and equip them, we offered them time to network with others to help their ministries, and we pampered them so they could return to their work refreshed!
Lastly, we discovered a new orphanage not an hour away from us! I had heard rumors about an orphanage in an old castle so we set out to find it, and find it we did! The Foundation of Deva runs the orphanage and there are 14 children living there! We found out that they were operating on a shoe string budget and we were able to purchase food for them that very day! We are hoping to keep up this liaison and continue to help them in the months to come!
News from Puerto Rico
We are currently planning our next trip to Puerto Rico for March 2023 and hope to strengthen our partnerships with the nonprofits there, visit with our educational sponsorship student, and form new partnerships aiding abandoned and needy children!
