Happy Fall Y’All!
2025 Online Auction
PHFTC is pleased to announce that we are having our Fifth Annual Online Auction starting on November 20th and running until the 23rd! This fundraiser will hopefully be a hit and a great blessing to our budget while giving you, our supporters, a fun way to do some shopping! We need your help to make this a success! If you have a business, a service, a vacation rental, etc. that you could donate to our Project Hope for the Children Auction, it will make all the difference for success and the freedom to help children and babies in need!
Please contact Ramona at 607-591-1065 or caring@projecthopeforthechildren.org if you can help.
Donations accepted until November 12th.
I will send out more specifics in the weeks ahead. :)
News from Romania
Summer is typically when I take some time off to rest with my children, but that doesn't mean things aren't happening still!
Before our Romanian Outreach Coordinator, Andrea, came back to the States for leave, she was able to shop for food and supplies for the Smile and Hope for the Future Afterschool Summer Program. They care for up to 90 children in the poorest village in the county!
We have been blessed to see some of those children graduate and get employment. A decade ago, these same children, would have dropped out of school because they had no resources, would have become married or sold into a marriage by age 12-14 and had children that they were leaving at the hospitals. Because lets face it, what 12 year old can care for a baby!
I praise God for the changes we have seen by using these techniques to undercut the root of abandonment!
Also, this summer, we were able through special donations to provide a cheap swimming pool for the Castle Orphanage. It might seem frivolous, but this orphanage is in the country with nothing for the children to do. After listening to the children talk, I felt that this would give them experience in the water and hours of activity! Thank you to the sponsors who wanted to bless these children!
This Fall, we have already been helping the Afterschool Program with needs as Romania has the highest inflation rate in Europe and food and supplies are very expensive!
News from Puerto Rico
The trip this Spring to Puerto Rico was eye opening in many ways! One thing that I learned was that the directors are starting to count on and trust PHFTC! Gratitude for providing basic baby essentials, as well as, food and medicine was expressed over and over. I thank God that we are being His hands and feet on the island!
Another thing that was made clearer to me was the conditions that many of these children are experiencing at home. If any of you remember reading or watching the West Side Story, you will remember the violence and living conditions amongst the gangs. This is the situation many of the children are growing up in there and I was able to ride into the areas under the protection of Casa Juan Bosco, our partner. It was heartbreaking to see and hear about these family and living situations, but blessed that they learn about Jesus' love and forgiveness at the center.

Financial Status
Our annual budget is close to $50,000 annually. So far this year, we have brought in about $14,000, with a balance of roughly $5,000 currently. We went through our emergency fund trying to provide for the pediatric hospital's many needs, the huge amount of needs for food and clothing at the orphanages in both countries, and the ever increasing costs of things. We have a large deficit to make up before March of next year.
